Project Title: Synergistic co-pyrolysis of polyolefin-based healthcare waste with agricultural wastes for biofuel production

Duration: 11 months

Salary: Php15,208.80/month

Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Acquire the agricultural waste (AW) and healthcare waste (HW) needed for the study
  • Perform laboratory experiments on the preparation of HW and AW blends for thermogravimetric analysis
  • Facilitate the design of experiment in the co-pyrolysis of healthcare and agricultural waste with mass fraction and type of HW and AW as independent variables, and kinetic parameters, thermodynamic parameters and rate synergy as dependent variables.
  • Conduct thermal analysis and model fitting in determining the kinetic parameters, thermodynamic parameters and rate synergy of different HW and AW blends
  • Perform statistical analysis for factor characterization, black box model building and numerical optimization
  • Facilitate in processing of project related documents
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Leader
