Power Systems Electrical Engineer Job Description 

• Must have a degree in Electrical Engineer with five or more years of experience in power systems and utility electrical systems.
• Experience working with medium and high voltage power systems and have an in-depth understanding of the risks associated with working on or around such systems.
• Knowledge of both industrial and utility electrical systems is preferred.
• Experience designing industrial or utility power distribution systems, switchgear installations, transformer installations, substations and motor control centers is required.
• An understanding of Power System Studies (Short Circuit Analysis, Power Flow Analysis, Protective Device Coordination Analysis, and Flash Hazard Analysis)
• Provide field engineering services, develop electrical power system designs, conduct analysis and write reports.
• Design, construct and maintain the power-supply infrastructure
• Take responsibility for and are continually aware of the health and safety needs of colleagues and the general public.
• Applicant must be fluent in English and have good communication skills.
• Job duties will require travel and direct client interaction. 

Qualifications:

• Knowledge in Instrumentation
• Knowledge in metering and/or measurements
• Knowledge in Analysis of loads and cost improvement methods
• Knowledge in Design
• Prefer professionals from ABB and/or other power/electrical companies
• Do not get professionals from Meralco
• At least 3-5 years work experience
• Prefer candidates who are on their late 20’s up to early 30’s
• Prefer PEE and/or licensed RE
• It would be a plus to have knowledge in IT as well
• Work requires willingness to work on a flexible schedule or long work hours.
