The Art of Clay is looking for a Ceramic Engineer.

Requirements:

• Ceramic Engineering graduate
• With at least 3 years working experience in the same capacity
• Can work in fast paced environment with minimum supervision
• Team player and Flexible

Responsibilities:

1. Conducts research, designs machinery, develops processing techniques, and directs technical work concerned with manufacture of ceramic products.
2. Directs testing of physical, chemical and heat-resisting properties of materials such as clays and silicas.
3. Analyzes results of test to determine combinations of materials which will improve quality of products.
4. Conducts research into methods of processing, forming, and firing of clays to develop new ceramic products, such as pots, vases, etc.
5. Designs equipment and apparatus for forming, firing and handling products.
6. Coordinates testing activities of finished products for characteristics, such as texture, color, durability, glazing and refractory properties.
7. Monitor firing efficiency and conduct process optimization and improvements.
8. Conduct troubleshooting for problems encountered and suggests process for improvements and process optimizations.
9. Do process optimization on glaze adjustments and batching.
10. Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
